Richard M. Steinzig, M.D., 86, passed away September 11, 2024 at his home in Silver City, NM. He was born in Boston on June 18, 1938.
After preparing at Browne and Nichols in Cambridge, Richard attended Harvard College where he was a member of Kirkland House and the Harvard Class of 1960 and from which he graduated, majoring in Economics, with an A.B. degree. In 1964, Richard received his M.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
Richard married Pauline Burns and they had four children.
Richard established an obstetrics and gynecology private practice.
A celebration of his life was held September 21, 2024, at the Steinzig Family Cemetery in Silver City. The family suggests that donations be made to the High Desert Humane Society, 3050 Cougar Way, Silver City, NM 88061.
