The Harvard & Radcliffe Classes of 1960 convened for a luncheon at The Chateau restaurant in Waltham on February 5, 2026. Twenty-nine people were in attendance!

We were all quite pleased to have with us Katie Hardy, Connie Thibaut and Anne Robertson representing, respectively, their deceased partners and our esteemed H’60 classmates Rod Hardy, Bill Noble and Phil Robertson.

Radcliffe ’60 classmates included Martha Cohen Bial with husband Ernie, Angela Brown Fischer with husband Garry, Elizabeth McSherry Green with husband Howie, Liia Annus Vilms, Leslie Jaffe Warshaw and Dorothy Elia Howells.

Harvard ’60 classmates included Paul Buttenwieser, Peter Chen with wife Shirley and daughter Elizabeth, John Hedreen and wife Zully, Fred Leventhal with wife Jean (R’63), Henry Marcy with wife Jean, Joe Murphy with wife Anne and son Joe Jr., Tom Oleson with wife Kathleen, David Ries and Steve Weddle.

Henry Marcy reported to the group that the attendance at our 65th Reunion in June 2025 was between 133 and 135 (142 actually paid, but, obviously, several of those who paid were not able to attend). After lots of handwringing during the planning process concerning the budget and the cost of the reunion, a small financial surplus ($7,586) was realized. This surplus has been distributed to the Harvard & Radcliffe Classes of 1960.

As our longevity and, especially, our health (mental as well as physical) are increasingly on our minds, Henry also reported that about 52% of those who matriculated with us in September 1956 and are now generally 87 or 88 years old chronologically are alive today!!

Everyone seemed in agreement that this luncheon was a good idea. We certainly had gorgeous weather at an iffy time of the year. (Actually February 5, 2026, was between two fairly substantial snowfalls.) Close to unanimous agreement, too, that it is almost imperative for us to continue to gather, to reminisce and to enjoy each other!

Look for another lunch in May or June … and, maybe, a Zoom session before then!
