Frederick K. "Fritz" Trask, III

TRASK, FREDERICK K., III (Fritz), 87, died peacefully March 2, 2025, in Englewood, CO. He was the husband of Penny Jackson Trask and the late Melissa Willim Trask; father of Ted, Laura (Thomas) Schneider and Adam (Jenny); and “Pops” to Quinn, Charley, Henry, Will, Samantha, Tanner (Courtney), Zachary (Molly) and Kelly. Fritz prepared at Groton School in Groton, MA and graduated from Harvard College, where he was a member of Winthrop House and the Class of 1960, with an A.B. in History. He further (1968) earned an M.S. in Mathematics from Bowdoin College. Fritz had a long career, which included teaching at the Greenwich Country Day School, General ReInsurance Corporation, Executive Director of the Craig Hospital Foundation, Vice President of the Helen K. and Arthur E. Johnson Foundation, and Executive Vice President of the Boettcher Foundation.

His family suggests contributions be made to Craig Hospital Foundation, 3425 S. Clarkson Street, Englewood, CO 80113, the Colorado Children’s Chorale, 3801 E. Florida Ave.,#400, Denver, CO 80210, or Central City Opera, 4875 Ward Rd., #100, Wheat Ridge, CO, 80033.
