Mehrdad Vakili Sanandaji

Mehrdad Vakili Sanandaji died 1/23/2022 in Tuxedo Park, NY. Mehrdad was born 8/10/1939 in Tehran, Iran. He received a B.A., concentrating in the biochemical sciences, from Harvard College in 1960. A member of the Qajar royal dynasty that ruled Iran from 1789 to 1925, he practiced internal medicine and hematology in Ridgewood, NJ for many years. He was an old-school doctor who spent lots of time with his patients, listening to their cares, and made house calls at any time of the day or night. He declined many honors and awards over the years, expecting nothing in return for his generous efforts. He leaves a daughter, Fatima and a sister, Manda Monney.
