Levin, Michael Abner of Great Neck, NY, passed away on November 13, 2023, at the age of 84. Michael was born to Harry and Sophia Levin on November 24, 1938, in Brooklyn, NY.
Michael attended Yeshiva in Flatbush and prepared at Jamaica High School, Jamaica, NY. He was a member of Winthrop House and the Class of 1960 at Harvard College from which he received an A.B. magna cum laude, majoring in Economics. In 1963, he received a J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School.
Michael was a tax attorney who worked at Proskauer Rose, was a partner at Golenbock and Barrel, and then later worked at Thomson Reuters.
Michael was a runner, tennis player, and avid reader, and enjoyed studying Jewish texts. Michael was proud to be a descendant of Rabbi Joseph Levin, author of the Sefer Yad haLevi (1898), and his maternal great-grandfather, Rav Michal Yehoshua Feinstein.
Michael was the husband of Marsha Gemorah Levin whom he married in 1969, the father of Sharon, 1971 (married to David Lerner), Joshua David, 1975 and Gary, 1979, and the grandfather of Talya, Ari, and Matan Lerner.
