Arthur Joseph Press

Arthur Joseph Press died at home, on December 2, 2023, in Wynnewood, PA, with family present. He was 85 years old. The cause of death was long term Parkinson’s Disease.

Arthur was born in Providence, RI, on February 25, 1938, to Molly (Fineman) and Abraham Press. Born a triplet, his identical twin brother died at birth and his sister, Ruth (Jagolinzer), predeceased him.

Arthur was prepared at The Moses Brown School in Providence, RI. He graduated from Harvard College earning an A.B. majoring in biology in 1960, and where he was a member of Quincy House. In 1964, he earned an M.D. from Tufts Medical School.

For twenty-eight years, Arthur was a radiologist at Lankenau Hospital, in Wynnewood, where he was valued for his diagnostic skill and loved for his caring nature.

He enjoyed bicycling, tennis, painting and drawing and studying astrophysics, as well as opera, singing and attending Philadelphia musical performances.

Always a true family man, when his children were young, he gave up golf to spend time with them. Arthur is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Carol (Sheinblatt), his son Matthew Press (Atossa Leoni), his daughter Meryl Press (Warren Huegel), and his grandchildren Paul and Samuel Press, and Vida Huegel.
