Lawrence N. Rappaport MD died May 18, 2023, peacefully at his home in Avon, Connecticut. Larry was born February 11, 1939, in New York City.
After preparing at Great Neck High School in Great Neck, NY, he attended Harvard College where he was a member of Lowell House and, from which, in 1960, he received an A.B. degree, majoring in History and Literature. Larry went on to receive his M.D. from Columbia University in 1964.
After medical school, he interned at Bellevue Hospital and did his residency in radiology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. Following two years in the Navy at St. Albans Naval Hospital in Queens, Larrye became a radiologist in a group practice in Bristol CT.
Larry was an avid fly fisherman. He explored many rivers around the world and made lifelong friends along the way. In more recent years, he became a “regular” attendee at the Harvard College Class of 1960 luncheons held in the Greater Boston Area.
Larry is survived by his wife Karin and son James.
