Robert Archibald Campbell

robert-campbellRobert Archibald Campbell, 81, of Weymouth, passed away peacefully, May 22 2021, after a long illness. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Priscilla (Barry) Campbell. Robert was born October 24, 1939, in Boston, and attended Quincy, MA public schools. He graduated from Harvard College, a member of Kirkland House and the Class of 1960, with an A.B. in Anthropology, and received a M.Ed. from Harvard University in 1961. Robert went on to teach in the Braintree Public Schools, where he was beloved by generations of students including a few 3rd generation students. In his spare time and since retirement, he loved to travel, particularly to Hawaii. He enjoyed the outdoors, nature and wildlife and was an avid bird watcher, and did educational presentations with his reptile collection. Robert enjoyed reading and collected books on world history, art and science fiction. He is survived by his sons, Ian Campbell and his wife Elizabeth Christmann and Colin Campbell and his wife Laura Campbell, his former wife, Judy (Clifford) Campbell, and five grandchildren, Leah, Anna, Melissa, Spencer and Erica Campbell. On June 6, 2021, visiting hours and a memorial service were held at the Bartlett Funeral Home in Plymouth, MA. Since he loved Hawaii, attendees wore a Hawaiian shirt or dress to celebrate Robert’s life.
