Peter Dewes Oram died on January 8, 2020. He was born in Morristown, New Jersey on March 18, 1938. A lifelong New Yorker, Peter prepared at Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, New Hampshire; graduated with an A.B. cum laude in 1959 from Harvard College, where he was a member of the Class of 1960 and resided in Eliot House; received his LL.B. from Harvard Law School in 1963; and received his LL.M. from New York University in 1968. He practiced law in New York throughout his career and, in that context, traveled a great deal. Peter is survived by his nieces and nephew Wendy, Thomas, Elizabeth, and Georgina. A memorial service was held at the Brick Presbyterian Church in New York City on Tuesday, March 10, 2020.
