Harvard Class of 1960 Luncheon
October 2, 2014

Twenty (20) Harvard ’60 classmates attended the Class luncheon in the third floor Briar Room at Embassy Suites (formerly DoubleTree Guest Suites) just off route 128 in Waltham, Massachusetts on Thursday, October 2, 2014. This academic year we are experimenting with Thursday instead of the usual Friday because some of us have become increasingly frustrated by Friday afternoon traffic.

Those in attendance included Bob Adams, Jerry Amero (FIRST TIMER! -- the attendance records go back only to 1992; the luncheons go back to 1970!), Bob Bray, David Chapin, Ken Deitch, Lincoln Ford, Gerry Levenson, Richard Lindzen, Henry Marcy, Tare Newbury, Peter Papesch, Jack Reardon, David Ries, Jerry Rogoff, Jim Sabin, Dick Seder, Marty Sher, Ed Tarlov, Steve Weddle, and David Wizansky.

After lunch, we heard from David Ries regarding plans for our 55th reunion, May 25-28, 2015 (details are available on the Class website, www.harvard60.org, and from Jack Reardon concerning a few interesting developments at Harvard (including the efforts to retain our eminently successful basketball coach, Tommy Amaker, in the face of serious efforts to lure him away). Everyone in attendance, as is our custom, spoke to the group about important developments in their lives.

Our next luncheon is on December 4 at Quincy House. If you are interested in attending and/or would like additional information, don't hesitate to contact Henry Marcy at hjmarcy@comcast.net or 781-439-4007.
