Alan Morris Wolf

Alan Morris Wolf @ age seventy-seven, passed away November 19, 2015 after a twelve year battle with central nervous system lymphoma of the brain and neuroendocrine tumor of the stomach.

Alan majored in Philosophy at Harvard after preparing at Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati, Ohio and was a member of Leverett House.

Alan was president of The Zero Breeze Company, a roofing and sheet-metal company. He served on the board of the National Roofing Contractors Association, receiving the Spirit of Construction Award for Lifetime Achievement from the Spirit of Construction Foundation of Greater Cincinnati in 2006.

Active as a Harvard student at the Phillips Brooks House Association in Harvard Yard, he served as a Big Brother for many years. He also served as vice president of the Jewish Vocational Service and president of the Harvard Club of Cincinnati.

Alan won the City of Cincinnati Metropolitan Tennis Tournament as a young man and continued playing superior tennis, through the years winning senior tournaments, until cancer struck him at age 65 in 2003.

He leaves his wife of fifty years Louise Cohen Wolf and his children Michele Bernstein, Jonathan Wolf, Meredith Schizer (son Laurence pre-deceased Alan) and nine grandchildren.
