Donald Spencer Gorman

 

Donald Spence Gorman died September 1, 2005, in Stanford, California.

He was born January 29, 1938, in White Plains, New York, and prepared at Trinity-Pawling School, in Pawling, New York. A Dunster House resident and member of the Harvard Outing Club, he received his A.B. in mathematics with the Class in 1960. He remained at Harvard to complete a doctorate in molecular biology in 1966.

He had a long career in the electronics industry in California, working as an electronic test engineer for National Semiconductor Corporation in Santa Clara and then for Philips Semiconductors, Inc., in Sunnyvale.

The Class has no further information on his career or surviving family; at the time of the Forty-fifth Report he was retired and listed a wife, Isabelle (Mateos), whom he married in 1976.
