Orvil Francis Hagaman

 

ORVIL FRANCIS HAGAMAN died June 22, 1996, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Born November 22, 1937 in Newton, Massachusetts, where he lived his entire life, Mr. Hagaman prepared at Hebron Academy in Hebron, Maine and at Trinity Pawling Prep School in Pawling, New York before entering Harvard with our Class in 1956. He attended Harvard from 1956 to 1958, and again from 1959 to 1962, majoring in Economics and as a resident of Winthrop House. Mr. Hagaman worked for twenty-seven years as an assistant auditor in the Burlington, MA office of the former BayBank before joining the state auditor’s office in the State House in Boston. He was an active fundraiser for the Class of 1960, in addition to being a member of the Newton Jaycees, the Newton North Gridiron club, a Newton Little League coach, and a participant in the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon. He was survived by his wife, Mary Richard Hagaman; two daughters, Michelle and Ann; his mother, Isabel Carlson Hagaman; and his sister, Carol Hagaman Smith.
