James Montgomery Boice

 

JAMES MONTGOMERY BOICE II '60mcl died June 15 in Center City, Pa. He was pastor of Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia for 32 years and a leading advocate of Reformation theology. He was former chairman of the International Council on Biblical Inerrancy, cofounder a president of the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals, which presents The Bible Study Hour, a radio program broadcast on some 238 stations. He was also a prolific author who wrote or contributed to more than 60 books. He leaves his wife, Linda (McNamara), M.A.T. '60, three daughters, Elizabeth Dawson, Heather, and Jennifer Rainer, his mother, Jean, and three sisters, Judith Casanova, Nancy Zimmerman, and Elizabeth McKinley.
